Elbow Braces & Supports
Our Elbow is a complex hinge joint that connects the large bone of the upper arm to the two bones of the forearm.
- An elbow works in flexion and extension which also being impacted by the forearm.
- Ligaments support the Elbow on either side.
- Injuries occur because of the stresses and strains placed upon the joint.
- The muscles that cross the elbow and act upon the wrist, play a key role in some common elbow injuries.
Overuse muscle strains on either side of the elbow resulting in injury. This is commonly known as golfers and tennis elbow.
The elbow is also home to a bursa, called the olecranon bursa that sits on the bony point of the elbow. When this bursa is contused it can swell significantly.
There are supports for golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow or protection for your elbow, they provide a comfortable fit, and reduce the stress and strain on the joint.
